"Matter and Memory" (end-2016 / open) is a series of limited edition prints which is at the same time a tribute to
Henri Bergson’s homonymous essay (and to the influence of bergsonian ontology on the twentieth-century art and tought) and a continuation
of the research on the nature of living systems I have undertaken since 2004 with the “Quasi-Objects” cycle.
Focusing the processual/“vitalistic” aspect of nature – the reality of change and motion – allows to draw an alternative to the dangers of reification.
In this direction “Matter and Memory” aims to investigate the space-time-matter relationship (the matter’s indeterminacy) through the visualization of the intermovemental states, through the synchronous representation of continuous multiplicity: temporalized space - spatialised temporality.
The edition - pigment-based inks on archival paper - is of 3+1 AP.
